Graeme Ayrton
Gender: Male
I’m Graeme, a Specialist Paramedic working alongside the Advanced Clinical Practice team based in the Purbeck Hub in Wareham. My role sees me undertaking urgent community response visits on behalf of the six GP practices in Purbeck. Using my vast experience as a frontline Paramedic, undertaking urgent and emergency visits, gives a good base for visiting acutely unwell patients.
Working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, the team receive urgent visit requests from the GP surgeries. Once triaged by the team we arrange to visit, assess, and treat the patient’s condition. I can prescribe for certain acute conditions if required, ensuring I can manage the episode of care, allowing GP time to be available for patients to be seen in surgery.
